Here are 10 amazing ways to give yourself physical self – love. We are so lucky and blessed to have this physical body. It can often be taken for granted. We can become very critical to ourselves and especially our bodies.

So let’s jump into the list I have put together of 10 amazing ways to give your physical being some love.

1. Yoga & Stretching

Moving your body is a blessing. we forget how that one stretch can relieve us of so much tension and stress that we might be holding on to. Just give yourself 5 minutes a day and connect with yourself. Learn how to find out which part of your body is in pain or feeling the tightest and let your body enter a flow that is personal to you. 2. Massage

Have you ever given yourself a massage? Most likely not but we have an opportunity to do this everyday. We don’t need fancy equipment or techniques. All you need is your hands and your favourite moisturiser or oil. I hold a lot of tension in my shoulders and it’s easy enough for me to massage away any tightness there. I do it a few times a week for five minutes before bed or whenever I need it.

It is important to remember that consistent professional massages are good to help release chronic tightness over a long period of time. But there’s nothing stopping you from a gentle massage every day.

3. Nutritious food

We can easily dive into eating habits that we know are not beneficial to our bodies. It’s important to have a balance but focusing on eating whole foods that nourish your body and each and every cell. Learn about what’s good for you and it will make it a lot easier. 4. Hydration

Hydrate yourself! it’s simple. It’s easy. but we all have moments where we forget. I like to have multiple water bottles in every room so I have that reminder all the time too. 5. Spa day

Do whatever you need to do and give yourself a full spa day. whether you book it professionally or plan it at home for yourelf. You deserve it so make it happen! I love doing it myself and I will include a hair mask, face mask , hand mask, food mask, All of the masks! ill keep this to the weekend where my days are relaxed and I’d watch a movie and eat something wholesome.

6. Breathe

Inhale. Exhale. That’s it. That one deep breath in the middle of chaos can be just enough to calm it. There are so many apps you can get that notify you to take a deep breath. This will help it become a habit and you will know exactly what you need to do.

7. Herbal Tea

There are so many different herbal remedies and teas we can make that will help us look after ourselves physically. I love enjoying a soothing floral chamomile tea in the evenings to help me wind down, check it out here

8. Surround yourself with nature

Being in nature really helps reduce stress. There is research to show that the shade of green you see below can release a stress reducing hormone. Just like for most people a sunny day makes them happier, being in nature and greenery can be really therapeutic and relaxing.

9. Pet an animal

We all know that having an animal and connecting with them can reduce stress. Some studies show that animals have a highly sensitive nervous system thats why they are able to connect with us when we may not feel our best. So get yourself a fluffy friend from your local shelter <3

10. Reconnect with your body

Journaling is an amazing way to learn and reflect on your day and everything you experience.
